Data Retention

What gets stored, how long it lives, and what was never saved in the first place.

Quick pair checks: nothing stored

When you use the quick pair check (/pair), all data lives entirely in the URL. Your birthday, energy style, signal pattern, and results are encoded into a base64 string in the link itself. Nothing is sent to our servers. Nothing is saved in any database.

When you close the tab or clear the URL, the data is gone. There is no way to recover it, because it was never stored.

Solo discovery: nothing stored

The solo discovery feature (/discover) works entirely client-side. Your inputs are processed in your browser, and your frequency archetype is computed locally. No data is transmitted to our servers.

Rooms: 30-day retention

Retention period30 days from creation
Deletion methodAutomatic, permanent
Backups after deletionNone

When you create a Room, the following data is stored in our database for 30 days:

  • Room metadata (ID, title, creation date, expiration date)
  • Room PIN (stored as a one-way SHA-256 hash — the original PIN cannot be recovered)
  • Participant profiles (display name, birthday MMDD, energy style, signal pattern, computed frequency)
  • Compatibility results between all participant pairs

After 30 days, the Room and all associated data (participants, results) are permanently deleted. No backups are retained. There is no way to extend a Room or recover data after expiration.

What we explicitly do not store

  • Birth year or full date of birth (only MMDD is used)
  • Email addresses or phone numbers
  • IP addresses (we do not log them)
  • Device fingerprints or persistent identifiers
  • Browsing history or cross-site tracking data
  • Payment or financial information

Share links and result cards

When you share a result (via URL or image), the data is embedded in the link or image itself. We do not track who shares what, how many times a link is opened, or who views the result. Share links for pair checks never expire because they do not depend on any stored data.

Room share links stop working after the Room expires (30 days).

Requesting early deletion

If you want your Room data deleted before the 30-day expiration, you can request early deletion through our contact page. Provide the Room ID and we will delete the Room and all associated data within a reasonable timeframe.

Why 30 days?

We chose a 30-day retention period to balance usability with privacy. It gives participants enough time to check their results and share with friends, while ensuring data does not persist longer than necessary. Most Rooms see all their activity within the first 48 hours.
