How It Works

Enter your birthday as a four-digit month and day code. This is the heaviest input in the algorithm, contributing 45% of your overall frequency calculation. It determines your base frequency pattern — the foundational rhythm you carry into every relationship.

We use MMDD (not birth year) because Tuned is about behavioral patterns, not age. Two people born on the same day in different years share more relevant traits than two people born in the same year on different days.

Choose one of four abstract waveform patterns that feels most like you. This is an intuitive selection — there are no right or wrong answers. Your signal pattern contributes 30% of the scoring calculation.

Select the energy style that best describes how you naturally give and receive care. This contributes 15% to compatibility scoring, but more importantly, it determines which description variant you receive for your Third Entity.

Energy styles are categorized as aligned, complementary, or different when compared between two people. Each category produces distinct relationship descriptions.

Your three inputs are combined through a deterministic algorithm to produce your frequency archetype — one of five types: Pulse, Drift, Spike, Hum, or Static.

When two people compare their frequencies, the system generates a resonance score (0-100), assigns a compatibility tier, and names a Third Entity — the personality of the relationship itself.

Every combination of inputs maps to one of five archetypes. These are not personality types — they describe behavioral patterns in relational contexts specifically.

Pulse — Consistent, rhythmic output. Pulse people show up reliably and maintain connection through regular contact. They are the relationship maintainers. Their signal is steady and predictable, which builds trust over time.

Drift — Long, slow cycles. Drift people are fully present when close, then naturally withdraw, then return. The cycle is structural, not intentional. They form connections that survive extended periods of distance because the depth is real even when contact is low.

Spike — High intensity bursts followed by genuine absence. Spike people are fully present when engaged and genuinely unavailable when not. They show up at moments of importance and disappear during flat periods — not from lack of care, but from how their energy is structured.

Hum — Constant, low-visibility warmth. Hum people create an atmosphere others relax into without noticing why. Their contribution is environmental: they hold the temperature of the room. The work is invisible until it is absent.

Static — Unpredictable and generative. Static people do not follow a readable pattern — not because they are inconsistent, but because their system produces novelty rather than regularity. Every interaction can go somewhere unexpected.

A Tuned result has three main outputs. The frequency archetype tells you what category your behavioral pattern falls into. The resonance score (0–100) tells you how closely your inputs align with another person's. The Third Entity names the dynamic the two of you create together — the personality of the relationship itself, not either person in it.

The resonance score maps to one of five compatibility tiers: Full Signal (83–100), Clear Channel (70–82), Partial Sync (50–69), Narrow Band (30–49), and Different Frequency (0–29). These tiers describe the nature of the alignment, not the quality of the relationship. A Narrow Band result is not a bad result — it is a specific kind of result, with its own strengths and friction points.

The Third Entity is the most specific part of the output. There are 15 possible Third Entities, each based on the frequency pair involved. The descriptions shift based on energy style compatibility — whether the two people's styles are aligned, complementary, or different — producing three distinct readings for the same base entity. This means even people with the same frequency pair can receive meaningfully different descriptions depending on their energy style inputs.
